WillItBlend?

Once upon a time a few months back, I was casually browsing various random clips on youtube. I arrived at the profile of some man who has rant sessions about whatever. A few days later I reflect, remembering in general, all the videos watched that day. However, a certain detail stuck out. I recalled a specific rant, a mentioning of a man who blends objects in hopes to sell his blender. Thinking to myself, "Well, it was worthy enough for this ranter to mention it, surely it's going to show up on youtube." I proceeded to search using variations of the key word 'blender'.

I believe it was the third listing, a man dressed in white. After viewing, I had known I found what the ranter was taking about, and I had known I found a very entertaining site (willitblend.com). What the ranter was talking about was a man known as Tom Dickson, the founder of Blendtec, advertising in the form of incredibly entertaining videos that demonstrate the extreme capabilities of their product, a blender, more specifically, the Total Blender.

Being fascinated with the site for some time now, I had noticed they had tee shirts. Being a college student and working on a limited budget, I sent an email via their website to the sales department. In the email I had outlined I was a full-time college student with limited funds, yet was an interested fan of Blendtec. I had mentioned my college was USF and that there are roughly 44,000 students enrolled at the particular campus I attend. I had asked if they would be willing to send me a shirt at no charge, and asked if such a request could be looked at as a form of marketing/advertising. Not really expecting a reply, but was interested enough to give it a shot anyway, I pressed the send button. To my surprise, I received a reply roughly a week later from a person named Matt. He said he had received my email and wanted to know my address. Very eagerly I sent my reply. And again, within about a week, I had received my desired tee shirt. Additionally, I received a postcard-like object with a personal message from Tom himself as well as his real signature, all written in sharpie-black.

Thank you Tom and crew!!!
